PlugInd SX - Plugin delay indicator for Cubase SX (TM) ------------------------------------------------------ by GonZoft (r) International http://GonZoft.tripod.com/ This little program shows you the delay caused by one or more plugins inserted into a Cubase SX channel or group. The delay is displayed in samples and in milliseconds. The purpose is to translate delays additively into milliseconds so that you can compensate the delay caused by all plugins inserted into a group by entering the negative millisecond value into the inspector of the respective audio channels routed to that group. The momentarily plugins displayed by PlugInd SX are the Cubase SX included ones (marked with * for better recognition), Creamware XTC-mode plugins (they all have the same delay) and the Waves Gold Bundle. Don't wonder if many plugins display a delay of 0, that's because they just do not cause any relevant delay. You will also see that e.g. the dynamics section of Cubase SX, the Creamware XTC-mode plugins and the Waves compressors and pitchshifters cause huge delays. This program is freeware and doesn't cost you a penny. In return, we ask you to e-mail to us delays (in samples) of plugins you are aware and sure of. We'll include them in the program-code, so that they will be available to all users. Also, feel free to e-mail us questions, suggestions, or bug reports. Our e-mail: GonZoft@hotmail.com Limitations ----------- Be aware that when you predelay channels routed to a group in order to compensate the delay of plugins inserted into this group, the send-effects of the channels will indeed be played in advance, because they do not pass the group's inserts.
